I'm participating in the
EVERYBODY everywhere pastels challenge today.
Given my love of bright bold color,
I wasn't sure I would have the necessary garb
in my closet to put something together.
I did a little mixing and matching,
playing around with different pieces,
and I came up with this.
As it turns out, I'm loving it and am wondering
why I've never worn this ensemble before now.
Thank you, EVERYBODY everywear, for the inspiration.

DeleteLove the hat! Perfect! Are there hints of yellow in it?
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen! You know, I am not sure about the yellow... I think it is just a straw hat. Either way, thank you for your kind words! Whitley
Deletewow- you don't believe in going halfway- it's all pastel or nothing! The lavender checks with this gorgeous yellow dress are superb! I just love the detail peeking out at the shoulder!

ReplyDeleteKeep up the Good Work!
Wow... thank you my dear!! xo
Deletewhat a fun outfit! that yellow dress looks very pretty - do you have a separate shirt under the lavender shirt or are those cap details part of the dress as well?
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy! Yes, it IS a dress. You know, the cap sleeve detail popping out was probably my favorite part of the entire ensemble!! Without the vest over top, it would have been a completely different look. Thanks for coming to my blog, and thanks for your kind words. I hope you will come back again soon!

Why hello there, Silver girl :)... Love that. Thanks for popping over... I'm going to do the same myself right now! Whitley
DeleteHello! This skirt is fantastic. Very tricky to do pastels without looking too little girl. Good job!
ReplyDeleteJuliann, Thank you so much! The skirt is actually a dress! I thought I would have a hard time with this ensemble, looking at my wardrobe full of brights... I just pulled all of the pastel items to the front and started playing until something finally stuck. Thanks so much for your kind words!! Whitley
DeleteI love that hat and all the colors you're wearing together. I wish I could pull that off!
