Emily Maynard For Towne & Reese At Belk

I recently sat down with Charlotte's sweetheart, Emily Maynard, to learn more about her collaboration with local jewelry line, Towne & Reese.  Established in 2009 by friends Christi Pack and Jessica Stanfield, Towne & Reese quickly rose to fame both locally and nationally, with their whimsically stylish designs known for transforming a look without making a serious financial investment.  The jewelry line was caught front and center in the public eye when Emily wore several of their pieces during her appearance on ABC's hit show, The Bachelorette.  It has been exciting to see this designer hold court on jewelry shelves across the Charlotte boutique market, and soar to new heights as they continue to grow. Due to launch any day in an exciting collaboration with Belk, Towne & Reese admirers across the country will be able shop Emily Maynard's exclusive designs at four of Belk's flagship stores, Southpark Mall, Raleigh, Dallas and Huntsville, Ala, and on-line.  I couldn't be more excited to have had this (exclusive?!) opportunity to sit down with Emily and talk jewelry, style, engagement and more! Watch it here in our first of three conversations.  You'll never guess what Emily's lifeline was on the show...

Endure

Dress: J. Crew (old, bridesmaid) Jacket: Forever 21. Coat: Beth Bowley (oh wow). Hose: Gap (here's a pair). Booties: Stuart Weitzman. Purse: Chanel. Sunglasses: Blinde. Hair: BLo ouT Photography: Moments By Donna

During this photo shoot, two and a half year old Precious Peanut #2 was having the most horrific head turning melt down temper tantrum you could ever in your life imagine.  I'm telling you people, what I do here; it is TRE glam.  Speaking of all things not so fabulous, I am back on the injury train.  You may know I am training for the Boston Marathon which is Easter Monday.  I was out all summer with a broken bone in my foot and chronic plantar fasciitis.  Embarrassingly, I strained my ankle eight weeks ago after a not so glamorous fall while trail running. Whether or not that is causing this latest ailment, I don't know, but mark my words.  If no three headed monster disguised as a cherubim is going to stop me from making fun photos to share with you, then no way is this annoying bump in the road keeping me from crossing that finish line in April.

Meet Harriet And Ninja

I am so excited.  Like I can't even begin to tell you for one milisecond how excited I am to introduce you to Harriet May.  Harriet is a running friend who answered my somewhat desperate sounding call for childcare over Facebook this past fall.  Things have been progressing in a great way here at the Queen City Style and with my wardrobe styling.  The word thrilled could serve as a launching pad for how I feel about it all. One mind is only good for so much, however, and having Harriet's to bounce ideas off of; or quite frankly right out take the reigns of is like the sound of total silence to my ears, glass of fine chilled wine in my hand accompanied by fiercly delicious cheese on my plate all while my aching feet soak in an ice bath and getting a hurt so good knuckle massage all in my scapula.

I hope you have a great day!
