I was so excited to collaborate with this adorable lad, Luke, for my first studio shoot.  Since I met Luke at Gap Southpark over a running conversation while he helped me pick out a shirt for a male friend, a Gap-inspired shoot seemed like the only way to go.  Full wardrobe styling by Luke Yerrick, animation inspired by Malibu Rum.  Go see Luke in the Queen City at Gap Southpark.

A few more pictures from the Green Boundary Club in Aiken, SC... The blouse, pants and belt are all Zara purchases from my recent trip to NYC.  I excitedly anticipate shopping Zara while I'm in the city, mainly because there isn't one anywhere near Charlotte, which means it's a relatively safe bet I won't have to worry about seeing anyone else wearing the same items.  Heaven forbid!  The shoes are a recent purchase from Constance Consignment in my hometown, Asheville, NC.  If you ever find yourself in the mountains of Western North Carolina, make a detour for this store. I've been shopping Constance Boutique since my first prom dress.  Every purchase is as special as that first one.  The shoes are made by Cole Haan.  Based on design and pattern this came as a total surprise to me.  As it turns out, they came from a consignor who lives in Spain, so I'm thinking I probably won't see another pair of these either.  There's something about having something all your own.  Do you agree?

I'm linking up for this month's Everybody Everywear fashion challenge, and this month's topic is Back To School.  For a moment I thought, do I go with an outfit representative of my high school Alma Mater or college?  Although I stand firmly that Carolina Blue is the most fabulous color on God's green earth... (let's be honest, the hue has it's very own name)... in this case I'm taking it back to the start.  From kindergarten to twelfth grade, blue and gold were the only colors I knew, and I am proud of them!  It's actually a bit quite sick how much school spirit my group of girls has. Next month our get together includes a designated cheering section for the class of 1995 'Rowdy's' at our high school football game.  I cannot wait to go home and cheer on the Rams! This outfit is really exactly what I would have worn in high school... the ripped jeans and denim on denim, big 'ole on my ponytail, dangly earrings, hand-me-down Coach bag from my Mom, shirt knotted on the hip.. it's all there, and it's all in my closet.  The 90's are officially back!  Oh Dear.

Today I'm styling another bad mamma jamma pair of harem pants from Woman Shops World.  I cannot get enough of these trousers.  Most of the articles here I wear on a daily basis... the sunnies, the bracelets and rings, my favorite pair of earrings, fav Gap tank which I own in four colors, and the shoes and bag which I've worn all summer long.  When local budding clothing designer Cigi Guz loaned me this vintage beaded vest, I about went over the deep end. Room To Outfit Interpretation with Margaret Fisher Interiors

Greetings!  I hope you all enjoyed yesterday's post featuring the 

lovely and talented Margaret Fisher and her wonderful interiors.  I have admired my friend's designs for some time now, and I was super excited to share her work with you.  I'm also as happy as a clam (where in the world was this expression derived?) to have figured out such a fun way to keep fabulous home design relevant on the Queen City Style as I have transitioned my little hobby into primarily a fashion blog.  It is such a joy to share with you my passion, and I truly hope you enjoy this journey as much as I do.  Admiring so many of the rooms Margaret has designed, I had a hard time choosing which one to use for my room to outfit interpretation, so I let Margaret decide...

As a disclaimer, this room was pretty challenging for me to channel in an ensemble.  Initially, my thought was this will be great!  All these fun colors that I love so much! Well, I quickly realized a room this size boasts a lot of color, texture and pattern for a much smaller space with which to work!  All that said, working with a bridesmaid dress 3 1/2 weeks post precious peanut #1, a borrowed madras from me mama and various other pieces pulled from the overflow closet, I'm feeling pretty proud most of the elements in the room somehow worked their way onto my body...

TA-DA!!!
